Former FC Twente director Gerald van den Belt threatens to leave SC Cambuur by a ‘changing of the guard’, the Leeuwarder Courant says. Two members of the supervisory board will resign in any case.
Ype Smid is said to be the new chairman of the Supervisory Board at the leader of the Kitchen Champion Division. He will be nominated at a meeting on Monday. According to the newspaper, there has been disagreement for some time about the ins and outs within the club.
Van den Belt, who worked at FC Twente as financial director from February 2015 to March 2016, does not yet want to respond to the reports that there is ‘discord’ at SC Cambuur. “I have no need to comment on anything other than football or finance,” he explains.
