“Valmiermuižas alus” has started selling products in Great Britain – Branches – Financenet

Representatives of Valmiermuižas alus reminded that last year the brewery brewed 2.4% liters more beer than in 2018, but its exports increased by 18% compared to the previous year. The work done by the brewery in 2019 has culminated in the newly launched sales of products in Great Britain – beer is available in London bars, shops and another 40 cities in England and three Scotland.

The owner of “Valmiermuižas alus” Aigars Ruņģis said that Latvians and British living in Great Britain are very interested in the tastes of Latvian beer. During the month, “Valmiermuižas alus” has delivered a repeat order. “As Valmiermuižas alus is a small brewery, we will not receive subsidies for the development of exports, because they are available only to large producers, but we will slowly grow exports on our own and go step by step,” Ruņģis said.

Representatives of “Valmiermuižas alus” also reminded that the brewery’s products are also available in Estonia, where a new zelter brand has been created this summer, in Lithuania, Ireland, Finland, Sweden and Denmark. The brewery plans that this year sales in foreign markets will total about half a million euros from the turnover of “Valmiermuižas alus”.

The brewery recalled that last year the brewery had a turnover of 5.7 million euros, which is 5.8% more than a year earlier, while its profit fell to 3521 euros, which can be explained by the brewery’s investment in development and creation of new beer flavors.

Meanwhile, in June this year, “Valmiermuižas alus” reached a sales record, the turnover reaching 1.028 million euros, which is 21% more than in June last year. In July, the sales figures of Valmiermuižas alus could be much higher than last year, as 90% of restaurants and bars offering Valmiermuižas beer have resumed operations, and beer deliveries to Tallink and Riga Airport stores have also been resumed.

“With the lifting of the state of emergency,” Valmiermuižas alus “is working at full capacity and we have saved all the jobs in the brewery. beer delivery in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, “said Ruņģis.

TVNET has already reported that in 2018, Valmiermuižas alus had a turnover of 5.373 million euros, which is 16.6% more than a year earlier, while the company’s profit increased by 31.8% and reached 168,173 euros.

Valmiermuižas alus was registered in June 2005 and its share capital is 1.397 million euros. The sole owner of the company is Valmiermuiža Investment Fund, in which Ruņģis owns 60%, the Austrian investment fund Industrieliegenschaftenvervaltungs AG (ILAG) holds 24% and the German company Thinkflink GmbH holds 16%.
