(Illustrative photo) KEYSTONE A motorist hit a pedestrian crossing Ritz Avenue in Sion (VS) on the pedestrian crossing on Saturday morning around 8:45 am. The 81-year-old woman was seriously injured. The paramedics and a team from the Mobile Emergency Resuscitation Service (SMUR) provided on-site care. The victim was then transported to Sion hospital by ambulance, the Valais cantonal police said in a statement. The two people involved in the accident are from Valais and live in central Valais.
