Vaccines in the Pescara area: on without stopping


In Pescara vaccinations at a great pace: a time schedule that now, more than ever, must not suffer setbacks.

Vaccinations continue tomorrow February 19:
– in Pescara, at the Pala Becci at the “Marina di Pescara” tourist port, where about 120 over eighty-year-olds are expected to be vaccinated from 15.00 to 19.00;
– in Penne, in the Palatenda of Contrada Campetto, for another 120 elderly people, with the coordination of Antonio Baldacchini;
– in Popoli, at the MUSP in via Natale n. 1, for 64 patients, with the coordination of dr. Roberto Salerni.

The organization in the Province of Pescara will proceed by aggregates of Municipalities with a calendar that must take into account the availability of vaccines. To underline the important and essential inter-institutional collaboration between the ASL and the Municipalities.

As regards Saturday in Pescara, the Pala Becci will be used for the vaccination of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the University (450 in number) from 10.00 to 15.00 and teaching and non-teaching staff of the School (in number of 450) from 16.00 to 21.00.

People are summoned by the Municipality to which they belong on the basis of the order of registration to the expression of interest declared on the Health Portal of the Abruzzo Region.

Furthermore, anti-Covid vaccinations also began yesterday for the surveillance staff of the Pescara Prison, which will end next week for the 300 inmates, under the management and supervision of dr. Giulio Calella, Medical Director in charge of UOS Penitentiary Medicine.

With regard to the Police, the staff of the Police Headquarters were vaccinated today; next week, with the coordination of dr. Ildo Polidoro, the Carabinieri will be affected, about 550 in number.

Data from the first phase of the vaccination campaign say that as of February 17, 2021 they received the first dose of vaccine no. 7,037 people, including healthcare professionals of accredited public and private facilities, General Practitioners (GPs), Free Choice Pediatricians (PLS), self-employed health professionals, residents and staff of residential care facilities for the elderly. The second dose was inoculated to 4,363 people belonging to the same categories.
