Vaccination Service Coordinator Explains Covid Vaccine Dosing and Schedule

In dialogue with the Provincial team, Lic. Lorena González Chávez, coordinator of the Vaccination service of the Hospital de Fátima, indicated the modalities and periodicity in which we must receive the reinforcement doses of the vaccine against Covid. Listen to the note.

“Having the five doses is advisable, but the optimal thing is that those people over 50 years of age who have risk factors, get a sixth dose after four months have passed from dose number five,” he warned.

He also added that “regardless of the Covid vaccine, adult calendar vaccines are essential to be able to have a stimulated immune system and be vigilant to descend against any pathology.”

On the other hand, he said that: “Babies are vaccinated after six months. They have a primary scheme every 28 days and then they start with these reinforcements that we do every four months”.

Finally, he invited the entire community to complete the vaccination scheme so that they can approach the facilities: “At the Hospital de Fátima we are attending from Monday to Friday from eight in the morning to twenty hours during running hours.”
