At the latest in two weeks the regulations will be ready for companies that decide to return to work in person with all vaccinated workers, as indicated by the Minister of Health, Hernando Cevallos.

According to Supreme Decree No. 168-2021-PCM, as of next December 15, companies with more than 10 workers can operate in person, only if all staff comply with the vaccination doses against COVID-19.

The head of the Minsa explained that this is a first rule that has been given so that companies and workers are informed of the situation that is coming, but, he added, in 15 days a regulation must be issued, in which the infraction is instrumentalized committed by a company that does not comply with these provisions, and the options that must be applied to workers who are not immunized.

“We have 30 days ahead of us to give the regulation of how the infringement of a work center with more than 10 people, who are together, who are doing face-to-face work, would be implemented (…) and who should have both vaccines and not (…) We have a month ahead of us, surely in a week or 15 days the regulation of what happens to the worker or employer who does not comply with this rule will be published, “he said.

Earlier, in an interview with RPP Noticias, Minister Cevallos was also consulted on this issue. On that occasion, he said that although it is a right of a worker, and of a person in general, to decide not to be vaccinated, it is also a collective responsibility as a country to be protected against the pandemic.

He also remarked that there is no excuse for a worker not to be vaccinated, since the coverage of the vaccination centers is wide, and precisely the rule is being dictated one month in advance so that they can comply with that requirement.
