He noted: “Our results illustrate the potential benefits of vitamin D supplementation for individuals at risk of deficiency, or who have been shown to be deficient as a way to mitigate the impact of Covid-19.”
Researchers from the University of Brussels in Belgium have also claimed that giving patients vitamin D supplements can be an inexpensive strategy for combating the disease.
