The United States Medicines Agency (FDA) has met to discuss the third dose of Pfizer vaccine that is expected to be given to people 16 years of age and older.
For fear of myocarditis – an inflammation of the heart muscle – in male adolescents and adults, the committee voted against administering a third dose of Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine (16 votes against – 2 votes in favor).
However, a vaccination booster for all Americans who have received their second dose in eight months provided the FDA approves.
