Minister of Foreign Affairs (Menlu) Russia Sergei Lavrov especially blame the West United States of America (USA) and alliances BORNwas directly involved in the ongoing war in Ukrainesending supplies of weapons and training the Kiev army.
As reported Associated presson Friday (2/12/2022), Lavrov in a video call with reporters also explained that Russian missile attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities and other important infrastructure are aimed at weakening Ukraine’s military potential and thwarting arms deliveries westerners.
“You shouldn’t say that the United States and NATO are not taking part in this war. You are directly participating in it,” Lavrov said on a video call with reporters on Thursday (12/1) local time.
“And not only by supplying weapons, but also by training personnel. You train their military on your territory, on the territory of England, Germany, Italy and other countries,” he said referring to Western countries.
Lavrov said the barrage of missiles, drones and artillery that deprived millions of Ukrainians of electricity, heat and water was meant to “cripple the energy structures that will allow you to continue pouring lethal weapons into Ukraine to kill Russian soldiers” .
“The infrastructure that was the target of the attacks was used to ensure the combat potential of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and nationalist battalions,” Lavrov said.
Ukraine and the West accuse Russia of targeting critical civilian infrastructure to demoralize troops, subject the population to hardship during the winter and force the Kiev authorities to start peace talks on Moscow’s terms.
