USA: decline in weekly jobless claims – 12/09/2021 at 2:35 p.m.

(CercleFinance.com) – Registrations for unemployment benefits fell the week of November 29 in the United States to stand at 184,000 against 227,000 (revised figure) the previous week, according to the US Department of Labor, which constitutes the lowest level recorded since September 1969.

The four-week moving average stands at 218,750, down 21,250 from the revised level of the previous week. This is the lowest level since March 2020, the report points out.

Finally, during the week of November 22, the number of people receiving regular benefits stood at 1,992,000, a decline of 38,000 from the revised figure of the previous week. Again, this is the lowest level recorded since March 2020.
