US State Department Denies Involvement in Tucker Carlson’s Ban on Interviewing Russian President Putin

US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said that he knows nothing about the ban on journalist Tucker Carlson by American authorities to interview Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I have no idea what he’s talking about,” Miller told reporters, commenting on the American journalist’s accusation.

According to a State Department representative, the US authorities have nothing to do with this ban.

Earlier, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson told the Swiss publication Die Weltwoche that the US government thwarted his plans to interview Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

At the end of August, the editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya media group and the RT television channel Margarita Simonyan reported that Carlson had asked for an interview with the Russian president.
