He will self-isolate, but will continue to perform his duties
Joe Biden has COVID-19, the BBC reports. The American president has mild symptoms of the virus – fatigue, dry cough and runny nose, the White House said.
The 79-year-old head of state has been fully vaccinated and even given two booster doses against COVID-19. His administration indicated that he will self-isolate at the White House, but will continue to perform his duties. He has started taking the antiviral drug “Paxlovid”.
First Lady Jill Biden has tested negative for COVID-19, despite her close contact with the head of state, the White House reported.
