“Thus, in practice, Russia is using energy supplies as a weapon – something we predicted it could do during the conflict in Ukraine. That is why, of course, we have kept in touch with Europe, including these countries, and in the last 24 hours we have been in contact with the leaders of Poland and Bulgaria. “For several months now, we have been working with partners around the world to diversify natural gas supplies to Europe, to meet the short-term needs of European consumers, and to replace the volumes of gas that are otherwise imported from Russia,” Psaki added.
