US Defeats Russia’s S-400 Missile System in Massive War Exercise

RABAT – Military United States of America (US) claims to have beaten a pair Russian S-400 missile system in a simulated attack as part of the massive 2021 African Lion war games.

The advanced missile system has become Moscow’s proud weapon which is currently being heavily marketed to several countries.

The S-400 is listed as Russia’s deadliest air missile system (SAM) with speculation that it could shoot down America’s most advanced F-35 stealth fighter jet.

The African Lion 2021 combat drills began on June 7 with 7,800 troops in Morocco, Tunisia and Senegal and will continue until Friday (18/6/2021) tomorrow. Last year’s drills were canceled amid rising COVID-19 cases around the world.

American and African militaries conducted the Command Post Exercise (CPX), a war simulation, in Morocco last week, where two S-400 missile systems were targeted.

African Lion is an annual multinational military exercise conducted by the European South-Africa Task Force (SETAF-AF), the US Army formation that replaced the US Army-Africa.

According to the explanation on its website, the purpose of the series is to enhance the interoperability of the US, partner countries and regional organizations to address regional instability, conduct peace operations, fight violent extremist organizations, maintain security across borders and counter transnational threats.

Highlights of the ongoing drills include aerial maneuvers by bombers, fighters as well as aerial refueling in addition to Navy fire drills and humanitarian civilian assistance activities in Morocco.

SETAF-AF has released a video of the Command Post Exercise (CPX) taking place at a facility in Agadir, Morocco.

“Two strikes were carried out against these two S-400s,” a military officer in the briefing room was quoted as saying The Drive. “Still waiting for the battle damage assessment from the attack.”
