The immunization will continue for the next 10 days, and the Secretary of Health of Baja California, Alonso Pérez Rico, guaranteed that there will be no shortage problem.
“It is impossible for the vaccines to run out,” he assured this Wednesday at a press conference. “We have 1,350,000 vaccinations and, subject to being vaccinated in the following days, we have 1,132,000. This is the 70 percent population aged 18 years or older that we are projecting that they want to be vaccinated,” he explained.
Health authorities contemplate that some people between 18 and 39 years old will choose not to get vaccinated, in addition to those with dual citizenship or legal permanent residence who have already done so in the United States.
For this reason, he reiterated that it is not necessary to queue at the vaccination points from one night before, as has happened in other vaccination days.
Although the vaccine was originally intended for municipalities that border the US border, Pérez Rico confirmed that people in Rosarito and Ensenada will also be vaccinated.

It is requested to carry an INE or CURP credential as an identification document.
At all vaccination points there will also be Pfizer vaccine for second doses destined for pregnant women and adults over 50 years old, said a spokesman with the Jurisdiction of Health.
