The Egyptian Medicines Authority has warned against the use of anticoagulants and “aspirin” in the prevention or treatment of the emerging SKV virus Covid-19.
The Egyptian Medicines Authority said that anticoagulants are not used to prevent the emerging corona virus, and it is used only in positive cases according to the evaluation of the medical team following each case.
The body added in a statement that anticoagulants and anticoagulants without medical or medical supervision may lead to major risks, including severe bleeding that is “blood with urine or stools, the appearance of similar bruises, nosebleeds, vomiting, cough, back pain and shortness of breath” and other risks.
The Egyptian Medicines Authority stated that there is no scientific evidence for the use of aspirin in the treatment of blood clots associated with the emerging corona virus or the prevention of the virus.
The body indicated that before using any medication, return to the specialist doctor or consult a health care provider before using it in order not to increase the risk of bleeding, so it is used with great caution in patients with platelet problems and patients suffering from dehydration and the elderly.
The Egyptian Medicines Authority continued that aspirin prevents its use also for patients with gastric and duodenal ulcers and patients with hepatic failure, so the doctor must be taken into account before falling into great risks because of the medications used without consulting.
And the commission concluded that all people who already take aspirin should have symptoms like “Corona virus” unless their medical team advises otherwise because it is possible that some medicines and nutritional supplements increase the risk of bleeding associated with the use of anticoagulants and aspirin.
