Dr. Muhammad Awad Tajuddin, Advisor to the President for Health Affairs, revealed the latest developments in Corona virus vaccines, saying: “All we have is a statistical analysis of the companies producing vaccines, and we are waiting for scientific publication in scientific journals.”
And “Taj Al-Din”, during a telephone conversation with the journalist Ahmed Fayek, on the “Egypt Can” program, broadcast on the “DMC” channel this Friday evening, said: “We do not question the announced vaccinations, but it is the publication in scientific journals that will determine the effectiveness “.
The president’s health advisor added in a message to the Egyptians, saying: “I have warned the Egyptians that the vaccine until it reaches Egypt, we have months ahead, and precautionary measures are indispensable.”
Dr. Muhammad Awad Taj al-Din explained that the declared rates of the vaccine’s effectiveness do not mean preventing infection, but rather the effectiveness of the vaccine in the formation of immune bodies.
Yesterday, Thursday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 143 recoverers of the Corona virus had been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total of those recovering from the virus to 101,564 cases until today.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson for the ministry, stated that 342 new cases that proved positive in laboratory analyzes of the virus were recorded, as part of the necessary surveillance, investigation and examination procedures that the ministry conducts according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 13 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until Thursday, is 111955 cases, including 101,564 cases that have been cured, and 6508 deaths.
