PETO.— Gustavo Uh Segura, from Mérida; Ángel Dorantes Villanueva, from Tzucacab, and Leandro Pool Muñoz, from this town, were the winners of the graffiti contest that took place last Sunday at the former railway station.
There were several participants in this urban art contest, who, using imagination and creativity, made colorful works, which already shine on the walls of the former train station. “With this, we seek to change the perspective that we have about urban art, because many times we have a bad concept of them (the exponents), when in reality you have to have talent to do this type of work,” commented the organizers of the event. event.
In the population there are several people who like this type of art; however, there are no spaces indicated for its promotion.
They pointed out that they develop projects so that young people have spaces to express their art. The participants made works inspired by the church of Peto, the railway and the era of chewing gum.— MAMG
