On Wednesday evening Norwegian time, a statement was shared on Claire Hope, also known as Lil Tay, on her Instagram profile. The statement said that both Hope and her brother had died, and the police were investigating the deaths.
In addition to a number of international media, Dagbladet also mentioned the death. Now, however, the Instagram post has been deleted, and TMZ reports that both the 14-year-old and his brother are alive.

“I want it known that both me and my brother are alive and safe. I am still completely devastated, and struggling to find the right words right now. It has been a very traumatizing day. All yesterday I was bombarded with heartbreaking messages and phone calls from friends and loved ones,” Hope and the family say in a statement to the website.
Furthermore, they say that the Instagram account had been hacked by a third party, but that she has now regained access to the profile.

Hope already went viral when she was only nine years old.
She received a lot of attention when she described herself as “the youngest flexer of the century” and claimed to have bought a car for over two million kroner, despite not having a driving licence.
In recent years, however, it has been quiet from Hope, who has withdrawn from the limelight.
