Unvaccinated public employees must present negative PCR every Monday

The Ministry of Public Administration (MAP) issued circular No. 0030158 that establishes the protocol for the prevention of COVID-19 in public offices, after the resolution of the Ministry of Public Health that ratifies the Dominican Republic as epidemic and orders the execution of a series of measures, being the more controversial the demand for vaccination card to be able to enter public and private spaces.

Consequently, public employees must present their vaccination card accompanied by their identity document to be able to occupy their jobs.

This test must be carried out on the previous Saturday or Sunday by the Ministry of Public Health or an authorized laboratory.

The requirement is the same for people visiting government institutions. They must present their vaccination record against COVID-19 or, otherwise, show a negative PCR performed in a period no longer than seven days.

This provision will cease to be applicable 14 days after the server or visitor receives their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, in accordance with the provisions of article 3 of Public Health resolution 000048.
