A tense video is circulating on social media. The car was suddenly attacked by a leopard!
In the video shared by @hemantakrnath Twitter account, it initially shows a leopard in the area of the house. The carnivorous animal jumped from the fence and then attacked the passing Maruti Suzuki Omni car.
Luckily the driver’s window was closed. But the glass protector seems detached from the car. The leopard then fell and got out of the car.

As quoted by TimesofIndia, the incident occurred in the vicinity of the Rainforest Research Institute located in Jorhat district, Assam, India. It was reported that the leopard also attacked the forest officer’s car, but the driver was not injured.
The leopard is said to be scouting the Jorhat district area. Unfortunately, as many as 15 people, including two people; mother and son injured by leopard attack in area.
“All the injured are being treated at the local hospital. They are said to be in no danger,” Jorhat District Police Superintendent Mohan Lal Meena said in the ANI report.
Forest department officials said the leopard came from the Gibbon Game Reserve, which is near the campus area. The leopard was so aggressive that officers had to fire 7 bullets into the air to scare the animal away.
“Many of the injured have been bitten and need to be treated in hospital,” said hospital spokesman Purnima Barua.
Jorhat Police Superintendent Mohan Lal Meena said efforts to capture the leopard were still ongoing.
