Spijkenisse – On Tuesday evening, April 16, there will be another Alzheimer Café Spijkenisse in the Mei Meeting Room.
This evening we are talking about the Veder Method, an interactive and lively way to connect with elderly people with memory problems. The method uses a combination of the positive effects of retrieving long-term memories, with theatrical elements, poetry and music.
An actor gives a nice presentation about the tools of the Veder method. This method is practical and easy to apply in the home situation.
Through various roles, the actor shows how to convey this approach, making it accessible to young and old and contributing to solidarity.
During the interactive performances it is shown how elderly people who are forgetful can be challenged to make mutual contact. This leads to beautiful and special contact moments.
If you would like an educational but relaxing evening in the Alzheimer Cafe Spijkenisse, you are very welcome. The Alzheimer Café is open to anyone who is interested.
The location is the meeting room “Mei”, Winston Churchilllaan 31, 3202 GN Spijkenisse. The hall is open from 7 p.m. The program starts at 7:30 PM and ends at 9:00 PM. Admission to the Alzheimer Café is free.
