The University of Sharjah organized a technical and administrative workshop as part of the field preparations for the Asian Cup for Physical Strength for Universities, to be held from 16 to 21 August 2023, in the first sports gathering for all male and female university and college players in the UAE who are candidates to represent the country and their universities, which amounted to 13 universities, namely : Gulf Medical University, Ajman University of Science and Technology, American University of Sharjah, Emirates University, Sheikh Zayed University, Manipal Academy for Higher Education – Dubai, Higher Colleges of Technology, Khalifa University, Middlesex University – Dubai, New York University – Abu Dhabi, Rochester Institute of Technology – Dubai, Heriot Watt University, University of Birmingham – Dubai, in addition to the university The host of the event is the University of Sharjah.
Physical tests related to the requirements of the tournament were conducted, including lifting the legs, chest and back, and directing technical notes, tips and instructions to improve individual skill performance and correct errors, in the presence of Prof. Dr. The technical and administrative bodies of the UAE Bodybuilding Federation headed by Faisal Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Physical Strength Committee, and the expert committee represented by the coach of the UAE national team, Omar Al Dhaheri, and the head of the referees committee, Ibrahim Abdullah, and the technical secretary of the federation, Abdul Majeed Yazbek, in addition to the coaches and supervisors of the universities participating in the tournament.
In conclusion, all notes were written down and explained to the participants to focus on weaknesses, hoping to address them during the next training units through their coaches. There will be a second gathering before the tournament to do the final experiments, and a group photo was taken at the University of Sharjah Training Center.
