Universal Pictures releases the trailer for Brian and Charles, from director Jim Archer

The company Universal images has released the official trailer for Brian and Charlesdirector’s latest film Jim Archerwhich will hit our theaters early next year.

Brian and Charles reveals the story of Brian, a lonely inventor who lives in a remote valley in North Wales. Loneliness apparently doesn’t seem to bother him, and he spends most of his life isolated in his dilapidated workshop creating strange objects that no one wants. Until, one day, Brian builds a robot. Crafted from an old washing machine and a battered mannequin head, the towering 7-foot-tall machine is a quirky build reminiscent of a ramshackle old man. Though initially unable to activate it, when Brian returns home one dark and stormy night he discovers that Charles is not only working, but has exceeded all his expectations: a life form that walks and talks like a curious child, eager to know everything about your environment and how things work.

At first, Brian gets along well with Charles, which is the perfect antidote to his loneliness. However, as their relationship develops, tensions arise. Charles, as a growing boy, wants more independence and becomes obsessed with exploring new horizons, but Brian is reluctant to share his robot with the outside world. He’s reluctant to even let him out, letting him know early on that there are many dangers lurking.

Brian’s main concern is the Tommingtons, a local family, and in particular Eddie Tommington, an experienced farmer who has robbed him in the past. Through his interactions with Charles, Brian is gaining confidence and befriends a local woman, Hazel, who is shy and withdrawn like him. Just as they begin to get to know and open up to each other, they suddenly find themselves closer than ever when Brian’s worst nightmare comes true: Charles goes missing. After living as a hermit all his life and letting Eddie bully him for too long, Brian must decide whether to find the courage to stand up for himself…or retreat into the shadows.

The film is directed by Jim Archer (Big guys) and protagonist David Conte (Derek), Chris Hayward (I like), Louise Brealey (Victor Frankenstein), Jamie Michie (My child), Lynn Hunter (The Tuckers) And Lowry Izzard (Hidden) among others.

A new film that deals with the relationship between humans and robots that we will be able to enjoy in cinemas in our country starting next January 13th.
