Astronauts on duty on the International Space Station (ISS) celebrate the new year 2021.
They celebrate the start of 2021 16 times because the ISS circles the Earth once every 90 minutes.
Following the “drop ball” tradition, astronauts drop the globe to mark 2021.
However, because it was in outer space, the ball that was dropped actually flew into the air.
