Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Retail companies have again closed their outlets in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. This time, Ace Hardware had to close its outlets located in the Greater Jakarta area, precisely in Tangerang City, Banten.
This was revealed through a public information disclosure letter on the Indonesia Stock Exchange given by the management of PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) to the Financial Services Authority, in particular the Chief Executive of the Capital Market Supervisor.
“In accordance with Bapepam regulation No. XK1 regarding information disclosure which must be immediately announced to the public, as well as part of the development strategy of PT Ace Hardware Indonesia, Tbk. (the “Company”), we hereby announce that: – The Company will close its stores located in Bale Kota, Tangerang on June 30, 2022,” wrote Corporate Secretary Helen Tanzil quoted Monday (18/7/22).

The outlet opened on May 23, 2013. After almost 10 years, the management of ACES officially closed this store. Not only that, in 2022 Ace Hardware has also closed its outlets in Cempaka Putih and BSD.
In 2021, Ace Hardware will also close two of its business outlets at Marvel City Mall, Surabaya, East Java and Pasaraya Blok M, Jakarta because the lease period has ended. The closing was carried out on December 31, 2021 ago.
In addition to the closure, however, there are a number of new outlets opened throughout 2022.
“The company has opened 9 outlets, namely in Surabaya, Bandung, Depok, Bogor, Lombok, Palembang, Yogakarta, Magelang and Tangerang; and all of them have been submitted through information disclosure which must be announced to the public immediately,”
“The total outlets currently owned by the Company are 222,” he continued
