This is an amount paid by consumers for any purchase of a device and donated to an Eco-organization whose mission is to take charge of the treatment and recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). .
The WEEE eco-participation applies to electrical and electronic products since 2006 in France.
Its amount depends on the product purchased. Each distributor or manufacturer adheres to an eco-organization and applies the amount of eco-contribution of this one.

The amount of the eco-contribution is used to finance and improve the collection, depollution and recycling of old products.

For electrical and electronic equipment, DARTY has been committed for many years to facilitating recycling.
By choosing delivery by Darty, Darty undertakes to collect your used equipment from your home free of charge* upon delivery of your new device. You can even give a second device** to the delivery people if you wish.
For deliveries by carriers or in-store and package pick-ups, you can drop off your old device* in the store closest to you.
In addition, in-store collection areas are available to drop off your used small appliances and consumables (batteries, cartridges, light bulbs and neon lights).
These devices are then entrusted to eco-organizations specializing in the treatment, recovery and disposal of WEEE.
Since 1984, Darty has been a partner of the solidarity network ENVIE (New Company Towards Integration through the Economy): a third of the large household appliances taken back from customers are entrusted to them. ENVIE sorts them, cleans them, repairs them, reconditions them and resells them second-hand in its network of stores, thus helping to reintegrate dozens of people each year.
