In a recent alert issued by the University Research Program on Epidemiological and Emerging Risks (PUIREE) of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the Mexican population was warned about the imminent risk of a resurgence of measles and rubella cases in the country. The UNAM PUIREE, through a statement at the beginning of February, urged citizens to remain on alert for the possible appearance of suspected or confirmed cases of measles and rubella.

To combat these diseases, the National Center for Child and Adolescent Health (CeNSIA) highlights the importance of the triple viral (MMR) and double viral (SR) vaccines, which work against measles, rubella and mumps.
