The swimming club has struck new roots in Freiburg and has changed its name.
. The Neptun Umkirch swimming club will be called the Neptun Breisgau swimming club in the future. At the most recent annual meeting in the club room in the Opfingen district of Freiburg, the members decided to change the name. They also set Freiburg as the new club headquarters. For the association, which was founded in 1977, the Umkirch chapter was closed.
