Ukrainians in 2021 expect three more stages of increasing pensions. As a result, the maximum payment will increase by UAH 1,650.
This follows from the approved budget of the Pension Fund. In addition to the indicated stages of the increase, pensions will also be raised to working Ukrainians in April.
First stage: minimum and maximum pensions will be increased from July
Until July 1, Ukrainians receive pensions, the amount of which cannot be less than UAH 1,769. And from July 1, the minimum pension will be raised to UAH 1,854. At the same time, the maximum pension will increase immediately. for UAH 850 – up to UAH 18,540.
The corresponding recalculation was approved in the budget of the Pension Fund. What already wrote by OBOZREVATEL, in total, the recalculation will take place in five stages. In July, it will be associated with an increase in the cost of living. At the same time, the allowances for excess of the standard length of service will also increase (they amount to 1% of the minimum pension for each year).
According to the law, Ukrainian pensioners must receive a payment, the amount of which is not less than the subsistence level. Along with the growth of the latter indicator, payments will be recalculated. It is also worth noting that the real cost of living in Ukraine is much higher.
Second stage: increasing pensions for Ukrainians aged 75 and over
Ukrainian pensioners aged 75 to 80 will lose UAH 1,200 each due to the fact that the Cabinet of Ministers has decided to postpone the increase in their payments by three months. This follows from government decisions, Whereby the increase was postponed from July to October. The main reason is to save money on pensions for some Ukrainians. It should be noted that the amount of the increase will be about UAH 400.
Now those Ukrainians who turned 80 years old last year or earlier receive additional payments. They can count on help in the amount of about UAH 500. The Cabinet of Ministers announced a gradual increase in the number of Ukrainians who can apply for such an additional payment. In 2021 – for 75+.
Stage three: December recalculation
The minimum pension will be raised again on December 1. Instead of 1854 hryvnias they will pay 1934 hryvnyas. At the same time, the maximum pension will increase from UAH 18,540 to UAH 19,340.
