Resident of Odessa region crossed the administrative border with Crimea illegally

A resident of the Odessa region really wanted to relax in the annexed Crimea, but he lost his documents and decided to get there illegally. Now he is “resting” in a Russian pre-trial detention center.

In Crimea, a citizen of Ukraine was detained, who tried to get to the annexed peninsula without documents. The man wanted to rest there, reports Interfax with reference to the “border department of the FSB of Russia in the Crimea.”

A 24-year-old resident of the Odessa region was detained near the Armyansk checkpoint. He had cash, a bag of clothes, tourist supplies and a tent with him.

“He deliberately committed violation of Russian law, realizing that without the documents he had previously lost, he would not be allowed in,” the FSB said in a statement.

The Ukrainian was taken into custody. A criminal case was initiated against him under part 1 of article 322 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Illegal crossing of the state border of the Russian Federation).

Prior to this, it was reported that a Ukrainian in a car broke through to the Crimea through the checkpoint… A resident of Zaporozhye tried to get through the checkpoint Chongar in the Kherson region to the territory of Crimea. The man refused to go through the control, locked himself in the car, and then rammed the bollard.

Meanwhile on the Norwegian border installed a sign prohibiting urinating towards the Russian Federation… The new sign warns tourists who feel natural need that their desire to empty themselves here can cost them a tidy sum.
