They are checking the places for accommodation of refugees in the Ruse region after a signal for bad conditions in a guest house in the town of Marten. Its owner accepts 9 people fleeing the war, who want to leave home immediately after only 3 days, dissatisfied with the condition of the house, bgonair reported.
The guest house accommodates two families with small children and a disadvantaged woman. For their accommodation, the owner of the house had to receive BGN 40 per person per night as compensation from the state.
After 3 days, however, the refugees contacted a local volunteer organization and asked to be relocated immediately. They are received at the Crisis Center of Caritas in Ruse.

“They complained that they did not have enough food. Also, that the space was narrow, it was not adapted for people with disabilities. In general, they complained about the attitude,” said the manager of Caritas Ruse Georgi Mihov.
The family did not want to stand in front of the TV camera. They say they are very stressed and scared. According to them, it was cold in the house. The owner treated them very badly. However, he denies it.
“Do you think that the municipality will give me all kinds of permits if there are no conditions? Four rooms with 3 bathrooms, 2 toilets, wide bedrooms – a new house – insulated with air conditioning, etc.,” said the owner of the guest house Plamen Mitev.

The man claims that the families wanted to be accommodated in a more luxurious place, so they complained. He decided to accept refugees because he had not worked for almost 2 years.
“I haven’t worked since the pandemic, we paid patent taxes, it stopped us. I haven’t taken a penny of aid, I’m driving on my money, on my muscles,” Mitev stressed.
From the footage provided to our team from the place where the Ukrainians are currently accommodated, it can be seen that the space is wider. The mayor of Ruse has ordered an inspection of all places for refugees.
