Ukrainian forces recaptured the village of Staromayorsky in the Donetsk region

In a new Ukrainian attack on Moscow, which called for the intervention of Russian air defenses.
“This morning, an attempt” to attack from Kiev with “a drone in the Moscow region” was thwarted, the Russian Defense Ministry said via Telegram.
And she explained that “the Russian response was quick, as the drone was destroyed by air defense means,” noting that the attack did not result in any damage or injuries.

And before that, a video clip published by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, on Thursday, showed that Ukrainian soldiers had recaptured the village of Staromayorsky in the southeastern Donetsk region from Russian forces.
“(Soldiers) of the 35th Brigade and the Territorial Defense Unit (ARI) accomplished their mission and liberated the village of Staromayorsky. Glory to Ukraine!”
The village lies to the south of a group of small settlements that Ukraine regained control during a counter-offensive it launched in early June against Russian forces that control parts of southern and eastern Ukraine.
“(The soldiers) our defenders are now continuing to clear the settlement,” Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Hana Malyar commented while announcing the liberation of the village of Staromayorsky.
Oleksandr Kovalenko, a Ukrainian military analyst, said Ukrainian forces should now reach another village, Staromlynivka, which is less than 5 kilometers away.
“It really serves as a stronghold for the Russian occupiers, and it represents the peak of the second line of defense in this location,” he added in an interview with RBC.
He continued, “So the operation is quite logical. First you have to recapture the village of Staromayorsky, stabilize the flanks and advance to the second line, where the main assault groups will engage in the breakthrough.”
Russian forces are heavily entrenched in the strategically important south – where they have prepared a sprawling network of trenches, minefields, anti-tank ditches and redoubts of “dragon’s teeth”.
