The head of the political council of the Opposition Platform for Life party Viktor Medvedchuk has been detained, said the head of the Security Service of Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky posted a photo of Medvedchuk in handcuffs on Tuesday after an operation by security forces, the Daily Mail reported.
“A special operation was conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine. Very good!” Zelenski wrote in the Telegram together with the photo of Medvedchuk.
Ivan Bakanov, head of Ukraine’s national security agency, also confirmed on the agency’s Twitter account that the pro-Kremlin figure had been arrested.
