Ukraine Introduces Military Service Certificates for Citizens of Mobilization Age

Arakhamia argues that the new document will allow the state to better understand the volume of mobilization resources.

In Ukraine, certificates of persons liable for military service will be introduced for citizens of mobilization age, which begins at 27 years and ends after 60.

This was announced by MP, head of the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada, David Arakhamia, during a panel discussion “2024: scenarios for the country” organized within the framework of the “New Country” project by LB.ua and EFI Group. LB.ua.

According to him, at first the authorities thought about military service certificates for every person of military age, but then decided to make them only for Ukrainians of mobilization age (currently 27-60 years old).

“To do this in such a way that we, as a state, understand what kind of mob resource we have,” Arakhamia explained.

He hopes the new model will be operational within four months.

In addition, Arakhamia advocated the so-called smart mobilization: so that during mobilization all military skills, education, and profession in civilian life are taken into account.

“People want to see that the state will take care of them properly,” he concluded.

Let us remind you that on January 16, the Rada finally adopted bill No. 10062 on the creation of a Unified Electronic Register of Persons liable for Military Service, the introduction of a defender certificate and the automatic receipt of UBI.

TSN.ua collected all the details about this law.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine plans to launch an electronic account of those liable for military service in the second quarter of this year.
