Ukraine Advances to Quarterfinals at World Cup 2023 by Socca with Win over Morocco

On the evening of June 9, the Ukrainian team won the match of the 1/8 finals at World Cup 2023 by soccawhich takes place in German Essen, and reached the quarterfinals.

The rival of the blue-yellow team in the 1/8 finals was the team Morocco, which in the previous round on penalties beat the Oman team (0:0, pen. 1:0). Wards of Vitaliy Melnik in the 1/16 finals with some difficulties beat the team of Albania (3:1).

The 1/8 final match went well for the blue-yellows. Being the favourite, the Blue-Yellows scored two goals. And then the courage was caught by the keeper of the Ukrainians Svyatoslav Markanych, who beat off everything that flew into the target of his gate.

The Moroccans closed the gap at the end of the game, but the Ukrainian team scored the third goal and won the match with a score 3:1.

Alexander Kolesnikov, Denis Sandetsky and Yevhen Shaydyuk scored goals for the blue-and-yellow team.

In the quarter-finals on June 10 at 18:30 Kyiv time, Ukraine will play against Brazilworld champions 2022.

Socca is a variation of futsal, differing from it in the number of players and the size of the field. Matches are played in the format of 6 to 6 players, two halves of 20 minutes.
