“In Dagestan, a lot of people died from bilateral pneumonia. This, apparently, everything comes from this COVID-19. I live in a village in the mountains. A lot died in the mountains.
Apparently, medical facilities were not ready for this. There is no equipment, nothing, a lot of health workers have died. In fact, there is a very deplorable state.
Why has the epidemic spread so much here? Not only because people did not believe in the danger of the virus, simply many could not stay at home, they needed to work. Now everyone is wearing masks, almost everything is closed.
Mostly older people, the elderly, are ill and die. Young basically everything was easily transferred. The main reason is still the lack of equipment. Neither the medical institution nor the medical staff were ready for such an epidemic, ”Emeev said.
In Russia, more than 7.1 million tests for coronavirus have been conducted. 290 678 cases were detected, 8 926 – in the last day. 2,722 people died in the country, 70,209 – recovered.
Dagestan is in fifth place among the regions of Russia in the number of infected: a total of 3,460 cases of the disease were detected in the republic. From the coronavirus in the region 29 people died, according to this indicator it is in eighth place.
