U.S. fires turn bright orange for a full month

Forest fires, which have been raging in the United States and Canada for several days, have created a rather unusual natural phenomenon in the United States. Smoke from the fires, heading east, turned the full moon of July into a bright organ color on Friday night.

The people of Washington had a particularly amazing view of the sky on Friday evening, July 23rd. Instead of the usual yellow moon, a huge “ball” shone brightly in the sky, turning orange from time to time.

Countless and devastating wildfires are raging in the US states of Oregon, Montana, Idaho and California.

On Friday, 250 miles from Portland, the fire took over 162,000 acres and destroyed at least 67 homes on the California border. At the peak of the fire, 2,000 people were evacuated from their homes.
