COMPATIBILITY

Compatible with iPadOS 13 (and newer). We recommend that you update your iPadOS to 13.4.1 for better performance.

To check your iPad system version:
  1. Go to Settings> General> About> Software version.
  2. Upgrade your version to iPadOS 13.4.1 or later to properly use the touchpad feature.

To upgrade your iPadOS to the latest version:
  1. Open your device settings> General> Software update.
    To upgrade your iPadOS to the leatest version
  2. Tap Download & Install.

* If you see Resume Download, tap it instead.

SETUP

To pair with your iPad
  1. Set the ON / OFF switch to the ON position.

  2. The Bluetooth indicator will start blinking.
    If the Bluetooth indicator does not start flashing, press and hold the “Pair” button for 3 seconds.

  3. Turn on Bluetooth in the Settings app (the device is connected when the Bluetooth indicator stops flashing).

  4. Tap “Typecase Flexbook” under “MY DEVICES” in the Bluetooth section of the Settings app.
  5. Press “Pair” in the pop-up window as shown below.

    The pairing process is considered complete after the “Connected” indicator appears.
If your system is 13.3.1, please follow the steps to enable the touchpad function
  1. Go to Settings> Accessibility> Touch.
  2. Make sure the Assistive Touch option is enabled.

INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL

  1. Line up the bottom edge of the iPad with the keyboard case.
  2. Push iPad lightly until all edges are aligned.
  3. Press the top corner of the iPad with your fingers to snap it into place.
  4. Repeat pressing down on the remaining corners until the iPad is firmly held inside the case.

  1. Hold the iPad on both sides of the top corner and use your thumbs to gently push the back cover back. It is held in place by two tabs.
  2. Repeat for the second upper corner.
  3. Completely peel off the upper part.
  4. Pull up to remove the iPad from the case.

Charge

  1. Turn on the keyboard (if the battery indicator light flashes, please charge the keyboard).
  2. Plug the charging cable (included) into the keyboard and the power adapter (not included, iPad or iPhone power adapter recommended);
    1. The battery indicator turns red when the keyboard is charging;
    2. The battery indicator turns blue when charging is complete.

REPAIR

If the keyboard does not work properly, please check the following:

  1. The Bluetooth function on the iPad (or other Bluetooth devices) is turned on;
  2. The Bluetooth keyboard is within 33 feet;
  3. The Bluetooth keyboard is charged;
  4. Make sure the keypad is on (battery indicator is on);
  5. Press the “Pair” button and check the Bluetooth status;
  6. Make sure a keyboard has already been paired via Bluetooth.

If you have automatic correction or unwanted punctuation, please follow these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app> General> Keyboard> Hardware keyboard;
  2. Turn off automatic capitalization, automatic correction, and “.” shortcut (please refer to the picture below).

If the Bluetooth pairing fails, please try the following steps:

  1. Remove all Bluetooth devices from your iPad;
  2. Turn off the Bluetooth function on your iPad;
  3. Restart the iPad;
  4. Activate Bluetooth on your iPad;
  5. Switch the keyboard off and on again;
  6. Repeat the steps on pages 2 and 3 to pair the keypad.
