On Tuesday morning, around 5 a.m., a report was received about a stabbing on Sluisweg in the Frisian village. Upon arrival, a man was found with serious injuries. Shortly afterwards, the victim died.
A 36-year-old man from Lemmer was arrested on the Polderdijk in Lemmer around 9.35 am. The man was with a woman. The woman has also been arrested, police said.
Police are still conducting forensic investigations into the home and the scene of the arrest. The identity of the victim has not yet been released by police.
