Two critical security flaws have been discovered in the code of WhatsApp’s Android app. They allow a phishing attack transmitted by messages sent through the application.
It is by clicking on an attachment received in a message that the victim delivers their data to hackers. The oldest devices are targeted, since the vulnerabilities concern phones running Android 9 or an earlier version, according to research by Census, a company specializing in computer security, relayed by Phonandroid.
