Two people had to be rescued on the beaches, Saturday afternoon, Corsaires beach in Anglet, and this Sunday morning in Tarnos.
Saturday afternoon, around 5 p.m., the firefighters intervened to rescue a 50 year old woman in difficulty off Corsairs, in Anglet. In cardiopulmonary resuscitation, she was transported to the hospital center of the Basque Coast of Bayonne.
A five-meter fall in the rocks
This Sunday morning, around 9:45 a.m., a man made a five meters fall into the rocks, at the Tarnos dike. A dozen firefighters, by land and water, as well as the SMUR intervened to rescue him. He was evacuated in serious condition.
The beaches of the Basque Coast and the south of the Landes are not monitored, swimming is allowed in dynamic mode. It is forbidden to remain static on the beach until Tuesday June 2.
