On Thursday, a person in Skien tested positive for coronavirus after traveling in a red country. Now two more in the same travel party have tested positive. Skien municipality announces this in a press release on Saturday night.
All three people have been quarantined after returning home.
– After the first person tested positive, two more in the travel party have now tested themselves, and on Saturday night it was confirmed that they also have Covid-19. This was not unexpected as everyone has had symptoms of Covid-19. All three are now in isolation, and one person is in quarantine, the municipality states.
All those who have recently been diagnosed with coronavirus in Skien have been traveling. According to the municipality, they have followed the current rules for travel quarantine, and contacted the municipality about symptoms so that the infection has been detected early.
– Infection tracking in the municipality has therefore been easy to carry out because there are only a few people and close contacts in each travel party, the municipality reports.
The municipality does not state where the travel companion has been.
