Two JetBlue Planes Collide on Tarmac at Boston’s Logan International Airport
Passengers on two JetBlue planes faced unexpected disruptions to their travel plans on Thursday morning when the aircrafts collided on the tarmac at Boston’s Logan International Airport. Although no injuries were reported, both flights were taken out of service for repairs, leaving the passengers on board to find alternative arrangements.
The Collision
The incident occurred at approximately 6:40 a.m. while Flight 777’s left winglet struck the right horizontal stabilizer of Flight 551. The collision took place on the deicing pad, as confirmed by the Federal Aviation Administration. Dave Souter, a passenger on Flight 777, recounted the experience, stating that the incident happened after the aircraft pulled away from the gate. He mentioned that he was on his way to Las Vegas for a Super Bowl event.

Both planes involved in the collision will undergo repairs in order to restore them to service conditions.
