During the early hours of this Sunday, two people lost their lives in car accidents that occurred in the Maule region.
The first case was a hit and run resulting in death in the Colín sector in Talca, where a cyclist traveling on the route was hit by a vehicle, whose driver fled the scene.
The non-commissioned officer of Carabineros Sergio Castro of the endowment of the Retention Colín, indicated that “it is a adult over 62, who was traveling around the place on his bike, since He worked in this sector although he was from the Pencahue commune“.
The second case occurred on the route to Duao in the Maule commune. In that place, a man died after overturning the vehicle in which he was traveling, falling into an irrigation canal located next to the route of the El Fuerte sector.
The Maule Regional Prosecutor’s Office instructed the SIAT of Carabineros de Talca for the investigation of these facts, especially because in the case of the rollover, the circumstances of the fatal accident are still unknown.
