President Andrés Manuel López Obrador assured that the departure of the Cabinet of Alfonso Romo Garza, it was because I no longer wanted to be in the government, but it will remain your main link with the private sector.
In its Press conference, The head of the Executive announced that the position of Head of the Office of the Presidency will remain vacant, to save those resources.
“We will no longer have that office, because he will continue to help me without being a civil servant and we will take advantage of it to save, he did not charge, most of his team did not charge ”.
President López Obrador asked not to fall into conjecture or speculation about Romo’s departure from the federal cabinet.
“If the message is not read, there is speculation, it falls into conjecture, (Romo) will continue to be my main link with the private sector. I asked him to accept being a civil servant and he participated for two years, at the beginning of the year he reminded me ”.
“Poncho is more in my vision that the important thing is not the position, but the assignment, It will continue to help us as a link with the private sector ”.
He pointed out that there are many citizens and businessmen who he has invited to participate, because they sympathize with his movement, but they want to help in another way, without charges, because they act with freedom and independence.
He stressed that Romo Garza was the first of the businessmen to join his movement despite criticism from “his union” that I saw him with bad eyes.
