In a collision between a passenger car and a cyclist, two people were killed in Deurne on Thursday night.

The facts took place in the Vosstraat, near the Kringwinkel, near the airport of Deurne. For an as yet unclear reason, a Smart-type vehicle hit the road and hit a cyclist.
Eventually the car crashed to a halt against a post and a facade. Both the cyclist and the driver of the vehicle were killed instantly.
The police closed the lane for investigation. A traffic expert came to the scene to investigate the cause of the fatal accident.
