Two children injured each other in a knife fight in broad daylight in Brooklyn yesterday, hours after a young man was stabbed to death in that same New York county.
The fight between the 11- and 13-year-old boys happened around 2:45 pm on Baltic Street near the NYCHA Gowanus Houses complex in the Boerum Hill neighborhood. Police initially said the boys had been stabbed by another suspect, but it was later established that they had attacked each other.
They were hospitalized at Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition. There was no information on what may have led to the fight and the investigation is ongoing.
Hours earlier, early yesterday morning, when responding to a 911 call, police found 22-year-old Zion Zeno unconscious with a stab wound to the chest at Newport and Strauss streets around 12:40 a.m., authorities said.
Zeno, a resident of Canarsie, was taken to Brookdale Hospital, but they could not save him, reported Pix11. No arrests have been made for this homicide.
