Al-Marsad newspaper – agencies: Twitter has announced plans to relaunch a new version of its subscription service, ‘Twitter Blue’, at a higher price point for ‘Apple’ phone users.
In a tweet on Sunday, the company said users can subscribe to the revamped service, which will let you edit tweets, upload 1080p video and get a blue check to verify an email account, for $8 a month through the Web, but for $11. per month via Apple iOS.
Twitter didn’t explain why it charged Apple users more than others on the web, but there were media reports that the company was looking at ways to offset the fees it charged in the App Store.
