TuS Lübeck 93 Shines in Women’s Rugby 7s Tournament: SG Hanse Ostsee Emerges Victorious

Lübeck – Last Sunday the 2nd tournament of the regional series took place in Kiel 7er-Rugby held for women. The players of the TuS Lübeck 93 appeared together with the ruggers from Fortuna Neuenkirchen and the Dierkower Elchen, each from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania SG Hanse Ostsee an.

Short discovery phase for tournament success

In the first game of the day they were beaten by the hosts Adler Kiel with 5:17. Then things went like clockwork for SG Hanse Ostsee after this initial discovery phase. In the second match of the tournament there was a bang with the 10-0 win against the previously overwhelming representatives of FC St. Pauli Rugby. This was followed by a clear 22:12 win against SG Bremen/Oldenburg and finally a narrow 10:7 success against the strong Hamburg team from HRC. In the end, this meant first place and tournament victory for SG Hanse Ostsee. The next tournament in the regional series will take place on October 7th in the Marli Stadium. A good opportunity for anyone interested to experience 7s rugby up close.
